A tenner of entry, a £30 hotel room, and a region where dinner with wine costs what a London starter does — Fruška Gora undercuts every race we have covered. The logistics are one step longer than Belgrade's, and that is the whole catch: fly to Belgrade, then make the one-hour hop to Novi Sad.
Here is the maths, then the sequence.
The bottom of that range is a full international race weekend for the cost of a UK half-marathon entry plus petrol. The flight is the only line that moves — and it is the same flight as the Belgrade Marathon guide, so everything there about airports and the taxi-voucher desk applies here unchanged.
THE SEQUENCE, plainly.
Fly London to Belgrade — Air Serbia direct from Heathrow, or Wizz Air direct from Luton, around three hours. At Nikola Tesla airport, use the official taxi-voucher desk or the A1 bus, exactly as on the Belgrade travel page.
Then the hop north. The fast train runs Belgrade Centar to Novi Sad in about half an hour — a genuinely pleasant ride across the plain — and intercity buses leave constantly for not much money. Novi Sad is your base: the race office address, the start-line transport, and the good evenings are all there.
On race morning, organised transport leaves Novi Sad from 06:00 for the start at Popovica, sixteen kilometres up the mountain road. Book your seat when you register rather than assuming; a taxi is the fallback and will not break the budget.
