REGISTRATION & ENTRY

NO BALLOT. But there is a queue, and it costs money.

You register and you are in — there is no lottery to survive. What there is instead is a four-step price ladder that climbs as the field fills, and a hard cap of 700 on the marathon. Leaving it until autumn does not risk your place so much as it risks your wallet: the last tier is nearly double the first.

Entries opened on 15 December 2025. The official closing date is quoted as 15 November 2026 on the race pages and 1 December 2026 in the FAQ — treat the earlier one as real, and assume the cap will decide it before either.

THE RULES THAT CATCH FOREIGN RUNNERS OUT.

Three of these are stricter than most British races and all three are worth reading twice before you book a flight.

Bib collectionIn person only, with valid photo ID. Nobody can collect it for you, under any circumstances
Name on entryMust match your passport exactly — no nicknames, no shortened forms
NationalityYou must enter under the flag of your actual citizenship
Race-day entryPossible only from 50 bibs held back across the marathon and half
Changing detailsUntil 1 December, £9 admin fee, by email to the organiser
Switching distanceUntil 1 December, paying the difference at your original tier price
Minimum ageMarathon 18 · half 16 · 10K 14 · 5K 12 · mile 4–14

IMPORTANT: The organiser's public pages currently contain conflicting capacity, closing-date and pricing figures. The 700-place marathon cap and the two-day race programme were confirmed directly to Fit & Myth by email in August 2026. I am waiting for written confirmation of the final pricing ladder. Check the live registration form before paying, because entry tiers change as the field fills.

Do not skip this one: because bibs are collected in person with ID and cannot be transferred at the desk, a flight that lands after collection closes on Saturday evening will cost you the race. Check pickup times on the race site before you book, and give yourself the Saturday.

AND THE PRIZE MONEY, which is not small.

For a race of this size the purse is genuinely surprising: €450 for the marathon win, down through five places, with a separate Montenegrin classification and time bonuses that run to €5,000 for a world record. The half pays €250 to win. None of this will apply to most of us, but it tells you something about the seriousness of the organisation — and it is why the front of the field is faster than the field size suggests.
